For years, I have helped parents learn how to support their children.
But one of the greatest lessons I have learned is this:
Sometimes the child is receiving the support they need, growing, and making incredible progress… while the parent quietly carries an enormous amount behind the scenes.
The planning.
The researching.
The advocating.
The anticipating.
The adjusting.
The emotional load of holding everyone together.
The executive functioning load of managing the entire family.
The schedules.
The appointments.
The school communication.
The routines.
The endless mental checklist that never seems to shut off.
And eventually, even the most proactive, capable, and deeply invested parents need a place to put some of that weight down.
Parent Behind the Progress Collective was created to be that place.
A space where the parent who has spent years showing up for everyone else can finally be supported too.

Individualized support
While conversations about our children, schools, challenges, and experiences will naturally be part of this community, Parent Behind the Progress is not designed to provide individualized coaching plans, educational recommendations, diagnostic guidance, or crisis intervention.
This is a space for connection, reflection, shared experiences, and supporting the parent behind the journey. The goal is not to find a quick fix for our children, but to create a place where parents feel seen, understood, and less alone.
